Das Soundmachine

Material Experimentation / UX / UI

This product showcases the auditory decibel levels in an enclosed space and employs motion in the peripheral vision of the user to alert them of exceeding the maximum volume threshold. As a part of my Minor in Smart Materials for Behavioral Change at the Hogeschool Rotterdam, I was privileged to collaborate in a team and push the boundaries of technology and human-computer interaction through this project.

Kickoff

Smart materials, responsive to environmental stimuli, have the potential to encourage positive behavioral change in areas like energy conservation, health, and sustainability. By making products and environments more interactive and adaptive, smart materials can drive behavioral change and revolutionize the way we live.
